All that comes out is a strong negative reaction from his parents, especially his anti-otaku policeman father. Kyōsuke attempts to fish out the culprit who dropped the case by bringing up the topic of magical girl anime at the family dinner table. To Kyōsuke's surprise, inside the case is a hidden adult video game titled Imōto to Koishiyo! (妹と恋しよっ♪ ?, Let's Fall in Love with Little Sister!). One day however, Kyousuke finds a DVD case of a magical girl anime entitled Stardust Witch Meruru (星くず☆うぃっちメルル, Hoshikuzu Uicchi Meruru) which had fallen in his house's entrance way. It seemed as if the relationship between Kyōsuke and his sister, now fourteen, would continue this way forever. For longer than he can remember, Kirino has ignored his comings and goings and looked at him with spurning eyes. Kyousuke Kousaka, a normal seventeen-year-old high school student, has not gotten along with his younger sister Kirino in years. An additional three episodes was streamed online on August 17, 2013. An anime adaptation produced by AIC aired in October 2010 and a 13-episode second anime season produced by A-1 Pictures aired between April and June 2013.
A manga adaptation drawn by Sakura Ikeda started serialization in the March 2009 issue of ASCII Media Works' Dengeki G's Magazine.

The series includes 12 novels released between August 2008 and June 2013. The first volume was published by ASCII Media Works under their Dengeki Bunko. My Little Sister Can't Be This Cute), also known as Ore no Imouto (俺の妹) or Oreimo (俺妹) for short, is a Japanese light novel series written by Tsukasa Fushimi, with illustrations by Hiro Kanzaki.
Ore no Imōto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai (俺の妹がこんなに可愛いわけがない, lit. After this, a second season having 13 episodes was released on the 7th of April 2013 with the last episode airing on the 30th of June of 2013 only this time, the anime is produced by A-1 Pictures studio.Cover of the first volume of the Oreimo light novel series. These episodes break away from the original story arc after episode 12 and show an alternate ending of the series. The first season was followed by four original net animation episodes that were streamed through the official website as well as other similar websites. Kirino then brings the astounded Kyousuke to her room. Later that evening, Kirino bursts into Kyousuke’s room and after a long time of none-interaction between the two of them, Kirino demands to her older brother that they talk about. (妹と恋しよう! – Make Love with Little Sister!) In an attempt to discover who was responsible for dropping the case, he decides to bring the topic of a magical girl anime during their family dinner in which he was only got a violent response from both his parents, particularly to from anti-otaku policeman father. Kirino has constantly ignored his comings and goings and have always looked at him with spiteful eyes and it appears that his sister’s indifference would last his lifetime. Kousaka Kyousuke is your average 17 year old high school student living in Chiba, Japan has not gotten along with his younger sister Kirino for many years. It was later adapted as an anime produced by AIC Build studios which aired from October 3rd, 2010 to December 19th, 2010 having 12 episodes.
